Early Check-In and Late Check-Out
Summer Ulu will try to accommodate requests of early check in and late check out, subject to availability. Early check-in may be available at a partial daily rate, subject to other bookings. Late check-out may be available at a half daily rate up to 6:00 pm and at full daily rate after 6:00 pm, subject to other bookings.
A security deposit of USD $4000 is required prior to check-in. This is fully refundable upon check-out, given that no damages within the property were incurred during the stay and if the check-out schedule is followed accordingly. This can be done through cash on arrival or bank transfer. A security deposit may be payable directly through bank transfer or cash to the General Manager or Property Owner immediately upon arrival at the Property.
It is the guest’s responsibility to ensure the number of adults and children staying in the house is correctly stated in the confirmation email. The total number of guests and invitees to the villa must not exceed 10 people without prior approval from Summer Ulu Management.
In accordance with Indonesia Law, all guests are required to make their passport available to be copied at check-in.
Children using the pool should be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Please note that house staff are often not able to swim and should not be relied upon to supervise children in the pool. Pool fences can be supplied on request at a daily rate.
Glass items are not permitted in the pool area as broken glass will require draining of the pool.
The pools are professionally maintained and guests should not interfere with the pool pump or other equipment or chemicals. On rare occasions, it may be necessary for our staff to attend and apply additional pool chemicals which may temporarily prevent the use of the pool.
Smoking is not permitted in the house’s indoor areas. Ashtrays are provided for guests to smoke in the house’s outdoor areas. Smoking in the bedrooms is prohibited. A penalty for deep cleaning will be charged in case of any violations. The penalty will be applied each time any guest(s) is found smoking inside the bedrooms, or if any evidence of smoking is found.
Guests are asked to respect the neighbourhood, and ensure that all guests and visitors to the property behave appropriately. Illegal or immoral activities including gambling, prostitution, prohibited drugs, possession or use of pyrotechnics or dangerous goods, and possession or use of firearms and other weapons are all strictly prohibited. The guest is responsible for the behaviour of the guests staying at the property, as well as visitors to the property during the rental period. Should any guest(s) or visitor(s) not behave in a suitable manner, Summer Ulu management, in their absolute discretion, requires the guest, their party and/or visitor(s) to leave the premises and/or vacate the property immediately, without compensation or refund.
Pets are generally not allowed but may be accepted by prior agreement with Summer Ulu Management.
All bookings are assumed to be for holiday purposes only, and the guest agrees that the use of the villa will be limited to this purpose unless otherwise confirmed in writing.
If the guest is planning to hold an event, such as a wedding or party, which involves having a larger number of people at the property, or if the guest is planning to use the property for a purpose other than holiday, please communicate this to Summer Ulu Management at the time of booking, as special approval or arrangements may be required.
Depending on the nature of the event, a surcharge and/or additional security deposit may be required, which will be agreed and confirmed in writing prior to confirming the reservation.
The conduct of guests of the villa should not interfere with the enjoyment of other holidaymakers or local residents. Music or other noise should be kept to a minimum between 10.30 pm and 7.00 am, especially in the outdoor areas.
Where Police or Banjar (local community) attendance is required guests will be responsible to pay any penalties.
Summer Ulu reserves the right to terminate the booking where there is any serious breach of the Terms & Conditions, immediately and without refund.
Any damage or losses caused during the rental period, as well as any special cleaning requirements will be the guest’s responsibility and may be charged to the guest’s account and deducted from the guest’s security deposit. Summer Ulu reserves the right to terminate the booking where there is serious and deliberate damage to the villa property or its inventory, immediately and without refund.
Any guest valuables or property left or used at the property are at the guest’s own risk. Summer Ulu does not accept any responsibility for loss of or damage to guest property. The guest is responsible for the property during the rental period, and must ensure that all windows and doors are locked securely when not on the premises. Any act or omission by the guest, their party and/or visitors resulting in loss or damage is the guest’s responsibility.
Summer Ulu reserves the right to access the premises to conduct urgent repairs or to respond to complaints about the conduct of guests of the villa. Summer Ulu will attempt to contact the guests prior to such attendances and arrange a convenient time where possible.
A deposit of 50% is payable at the time of booking, with a 50% balance due 60 days before arrival.
Where the booking takes place less than 60 days before arrival the full amount is due immediately to confirm the booking. If the balance is not paid 60 days before arrival Summer Ulu reserves the right to retain the deposit.
i) 50% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made more than 60 days before arrival.
ii) Up to 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made between 1 and 59 days before arrival.
We strongly recommend guests take out comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking to cover injury and illness (including repatriation), theft or loss of baggage and personal items, or cancellation of flights and accommodation.
Summer Ulu will not accept responsibility for losses to our guests or any claims, including but not limited to:
Responsibility for personal body injury, death, accident, lost, stolen or damaged property, loss of mental or physical enjoyment, delay or inconvenience.
Delays or schedule changes to itineraries incurred by any person arising out of any willful or negligent act or omission of any airline carrier, hotel, villa, ground operator or other person who does not render any services or accommodations.
Monetary crisis, labor problems, economic changes, mechanical maintenance or construction difficulties, noise, climatic change, local laws, novel or unexpected conditions.
Loss of travel documents, passports, visas and or health certificates, where required
Additional expenses due to delays or changes in any other services, substitute accommodations, termination of services, change in rates, cancellation or double booking reservations, sickness, strike, war, quarantine, pilferage, political or social unrest, disease, acts of god or any events beyond our control.
Guests agree that Summer Ulu are not responsible for damages such as (but not limited to) motorcycle, scooter, and other vehicle rentals, horse-back riding, SCUBA diving, deep-sea fishing, golfing, pool/ocean swimming and surfing, falls from pool decks, wet tiles or any sliding glass door injuries. Each guest agrees that he/she is voluntarily participating in activities, and assumes all risk of injury, illness, damage or loss to person and property that might result, including, without limitation, to any loss or theft of personal property.
For the execution interpretation and enforcement of this Agreement, the parties expressly submit to the laws in effect and to the courts of Denpasar, Indonesia, hereby waiving any other jurisdiction that may now or hereafter be applicable by reason of their present or future domiciles.
Guests with Disabilities – Indonesia does not have the same disability laws like in many other countries like Australia and the United States “American Disabilities Act”. Therefore facilities for disabled persons are limited in Bali and subsequently disabled people might not be as well catered to as they would in other countries.
All guests staying at Summer Ulu agree to the Waiver of Liability Disclaimer and all other Terms and Conditions.
Guests who travel to Bali but their arrival is delayed by the closure of Denpasar Airport due to any form of natural disaster, will be refunded (less applicable bank fees) for those nights of accommodation lost due to their delayed arrival.
Guests whose flights are cancelled by their airline due to any form of natural disaster, in circumstances where Denpasar Airport remains open will be entitled to reschedule their booking subject to:
The booking is rescheduled within 90 days of the original booking and not in Peak Season;
Where the rescheduled booking is made within a different seasonal period from the original booking the rates of charge will be adjusted according to the rates of the seasonal period to which the booking is rescheduled.
All foreigners entering Indonesia must have a valid passport with an expiration date not less than 6 months prior to their date of departure from Indonesia or entry will not be permitted.
Guests from most countries arriving at Ngurah Rai International Airport can enter Indonesia without a Visa and stay for up to 30 days (Please refer to http://www.indonesia.travel/en/post/visa-free-for-169-countries-to-travel-to-indonesia). Guests arriving by sea should check specific Visa requirements.
Guests wishing to stay in Bali for more than 30 days need to obtain a Visa on Arrival (VoA) from Immigration on arrival at Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar for US$35 which is valid for 30 days and which can be extended once for an additional 30 days.
